Missed Conceptions – Political Slogans

While it is true that the Hispanic population is growing faster than any other group due in part to the shrinking white birth rate, there is no evidence of a conspiracy by the Democrats or American corporations to replace the white workforce or voter base.

There is abundant evidence that in some communities that police target black Americans and have a cavalier attitude toward their lives.  The term "Black Lives Matter" was created to push back on that reality.  This attitude is most common areas where poor black neighborhoods are policed by a predominantly white police force.

"Defund the police" means different things to different people.  Unfortunately, there are some who literally mean to close some police department.  For others, it means to remove military gear from police departments.  For others it means to substitute Social Workers.  However, there is no universal agreement on what it means.

The term "Trickle Down Economics" was called "Voodoo Economics" by H.W. Bush, and was shown to not work during the Reagan Administration.  It was later implemented by both George W. Bush and Donald J. Trump during their administrations, but by then it was known that all it would do was make GOP donors more wealthy.  Even its "inventor" David Stockman admitted that it did not work.

When the term "anti-abortion" did not provide traction for people opposed to abortion rights, they invented the term "pro-life" to replace "anti-abortion".  However, the conservatives who refer to themselves as "Pro-Life" often oppose abortion even to save the life of the mother.  They also may favor the right to own assault rifles, even though they are often used in mass shootings.
